I’m from Naples, Italy and my parents bought my first drum kit at the age of fifteen. Well, I started asking them for a drum set a couple of years before… finally, after asking, asking and asking for it, I succeeded to persuade them!
I still remember that day. I was the happiest guy on Earth… Since then, I’ve played almost every day of my life. Even if I am not a professional, drumming has always been my greatest passion in life.I traveled a lot, which has influenced my creative style and process. I create art because I am literally in love with music and playing drums makes me feel free and happy. The list of my favourite artists is huge, including (but not limited to): Clyde Stubblefield, John “Jabo” Starks, Bernard Purdie, Chris Dave, Jojo Mayer, Nate Smith and Billy Martin.
When playing or studying, my main focus is keeping a tight groove, in fact, my main and favourite style is funk.
Fun-K Lab Quintet has been my longest and richest musical experience. Then, I had the honour to play with Das Brass (when I was based in UK) and Paters (when I was based in Spain), plus a series of minor collaborations.
When I play drums, I hope people experience happiness.
Among other passions, I love travelling and riding my MTB.
