A bass player since the age of 18, Mauro Cavioli has been a member of various rock-blues, pop, progressive, and jazz groups across the Rome area in Italy, performing live on countless stages.
Over the years, he has also gained significant recording studio experience, collaborating with both Italian and international musicians on the production of various original tracks.
Currently, he maintains several active collaborations within both the jazz and pop-rock scenes.
Mauro’s first collaboration with Metaphonic started with “More Than a Goodbye”, our 9th single release; My initial vision for the bass line here was possibly a bit too present, a bit too cerebral – Mauro helped me to bring it down to earth, to a more organic feel and did so blending his line seamlessly with the already complex layers there were in the song.
